What Is Autism?

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 1 in 44 children in the United States is diagnosed with autism, highlighting the growing need for early intervention and evidence-based autism care services.

ARC provides individualized ABA therapy through flexible home-based, clinic-based, and hybrid treatment models. Our services also include speech therapy and structured parent training programs designed to support communication development, behavior growth, and social skills.

We proudly serve families across multiple locations, accept most major insurance plans, and are currently enrolling children ages 18 months to 21 years with no waitlist for services.

WHAT IS ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific and evidence-based treatment that uses positive reinforcement, data analysis, visual support, and parent/caregiver involvement in treatment.

Programs

Direct ABA therapy can be delivered in the home, in the clinic, or through a hybrid model that blends both settings to meet each child’s unique needs.

In-home ABA therapy brings support directly into your child’s everyday environment, allowing skills to be taught and practiced where life naturally happens. Working in the home helps children learn functional communication, daily living skills, and behavior regulation within familiar routines, spaces, and family interactions. This setting allows therapists to collaborate closely with caregivers, model strategies in real time, and ensure skills generalize to daily life. For many families, in-home ABA feels personal, flexible, and empowering, helping children gain independence and confidence in the place where they feel safest.

In-clinic ABA therapy offers a structured, supportive environment designed to promote learning, social engagement, and skill development beyond the home. Clinics provide opportunities for children to practice social skills with peers, follow group routines, and engage in a wider variety of learning activities with specialized materials and spaces. This setting can be especially beneficial for building attention, flexibility, and peer interaction while preparing children for school and community settings. In-clinic therapy also allows for close collaboration among therapists and supervisors, ensuring high-quality, consistent care.

A hybrid model, combining both in-home and in-clinic ABA therapy, often offers the best of both worlds. Skills learned in the clinic can be practiced and reinforced at home, while progress made at home can be expanded through peer interactions and structured learning in the clinic. This balanced approach supports generalization, reduces skill gaps across settings, and allows therapy to adapt to a child’s changing needs over time. For many families, a hybrid model creates a more holistic, flexible, and well-rounded path that supports growth across all areas of a child’s life.

Speech and Occupational Therapy are essential services that support children’s overall development and independence. Speech therapy focuses on improving communication skills, including speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication, and feeding or swallowing when needed. Occupational therapy (OT) helps children build the fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills needed for daily life activities such as dressing, writing, and playing. Together, these therapies enhance a child’s ability to express themselves, interact with others, and perform everyday tasks with confidence and success.

Parent training in ABA therapy empowers caregivers with the knowledge and skills to effectively support their child’s behavioral and developmental goals at home and in the community. Through individualized coaching and evidence-based strategies, parents learn how to reinforce positive behaviors, manage challenging situations, and create structured routines that promote learning and independence. This collaborative approach ensures consistency between therapy sessions and everyday life, leading to stronger progress and lasting results for the child.
