Lisa Curtin

Lisa has been working in the Mental Health field since 1998, beginning as a Direct Support Professional for children with diverse diagnoses while in college. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy and then worked with community agencies specializing in individuals considered in-crisis. In 2004, she furthered her education at the Florida Institute of Technology and became a BCaBA in 2005. Lisa has extensive experience providing therapy in home, community, school, and clinic settings. She is particularly interested in working with individuals with ASD, complex mental health profiles, and challenging behaviors, using trauma-informed care to promote self-advocacy and de-escalate situations. Passionate about parent coaching, Lisa provides trauma and culturally responsive ABA services centered on the values of the service recipient, emphasizing client autonomy and harm-reduction.
